Beer sales started in Cleburne only a few weeks ago and already opponents are saying “I Told You So.” A newly-opened store selling beer-and-wine has hired 20 young women who wear bikini tops and Daisy Duke shorts while standing on the street to wave at potential customers. The store’s owner says all of the women are adults and they’re doing nothing illegal. But some Cleburne residents believe the women are being exploited while creating what they feel is a low-class atmosphere. Cleburne had been dry for decades but in May, voters okayed the sale of beer-and-wine in retail shops.

Plants and Planters in Richardson is typically burglarized several times a year however this time it’s one to remember.
Upon arriving to open the store the manager noticed several pieces of broken plants on the sidewalk outside the security fence. The manager says a quick check showed that another theft had occurred, and she began to review the security video. At approximately 1:30 am, a car sits outside the security fence while a monkey roams the premises. The store manager believes a trained monkey was used to climb the fence and pass plants over to his handlers. In the video below you can see what may be a monkey appearing briefly in the lower left corner of the video walking past the fountain. The image vanishes after about 5 seconds because the security system randomly switches between several cameras (notice the jump in time stamp), and by the time this camera is recorded again the monkey has moved (but the car outside is still present). Richardson police say they were called to the store but the manager decided not to pursue any charges.
